Corporate Training Consultant: Design and develop training materials following Wellington’s consulting process. Train our clients’ employees and management staff on one or more of the soft skills seminars Wellington offers.

Software Requirements

  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced knowledge in using and creating presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint. 

Educational Requirements

  • Minimum: Bachelor of Science degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a corporate training environment within management, communication, human resources and leadership development.
  • Preferred: Post-graduate degree in any discipline or a graduate degree in Human Resources, Communication, Public Relations, Management, Education or Business Administration. 

Experience

  • Training experience within a corporate classroom setting, including classroom and/or group instruction/lectures.
  • Curriculum development experience is a must. Preparation of training manuals, feedback survey forms, and supporting materials.
  • Design, development and presentation of training seminars related to management, communication, customer service, leadership development, negotiation, sales, presentation or team building.
  • Training needs analysis and familiarity with training needs-assessment tools.
  • Interfacing with functional organizations or subject matter experts to develop course content.
  • Lesson Plan preparation and creation of materials for training.
  • Conducting follow up with clients to determine effectiveness of training.
  • Establish and maintain high performance standards throughout the training process.
  • Contact and schedule internal or outside product specialists for specialized training as necessary.

General Skill Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong presentation, facilitation, research, and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated starter that has the ability to work independently.
  • Strong leadership ability, including good organizational and “people" skills.
  • Previous experience working in a collaborative team-based environment.
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate with other managers and subordinates within the corporation in English.
  • Should be able to work independently as well as follow directions from management.
  • Must be able to travel to clients’ location to consult and deliver training.
  • Must own a laptop with hardware requirements to run presentations.

Physical Requirements

  • Must have a sharp professional image.
  • Body positions: Sitting or standing for long periods of time may be necessary.
  • Body movements: Must have the ability to move around a training facility and assist trainees.
  • Body senses: Must be able to hear and see, read off a computer monitor and an overhead projector.
